I was really honoured a couple of weeks ago to be contacted by Taria Dawson, who runs a couple of websites and a great Youtube channel dedicated to urban sketching: she’d been asked a question by one of her subscribers, and turned to me to help.

The question was about leaving white space in a drawing/painting- the artist had noticed this method in a few artists’ work and quite naturally, wanted to find out the processes involved. It’s a question I am often asked at demos and workshops, so it was great to be asked to focus on the technique.

Taria’s emails resulted in a Zoom interview, which has been turned into an hour long Youtube feature, which you can see here: apologies for the rambling nature of my answers and my untrained speaking style…you would never mistake me for a glib, fluent presenter!!!!!
