Morning all. Just packing the car to set off for a demo at lunchtime, but I thought I would take a moment to share this , quite staggering news: I post most of my work on Flickr, using it as an online storage facility for my work. I put this image of Grasmere up early yesterday: I did it as my demo piece during a lovely evening with etc Mellor art Society last week.

I was absolutely staggered to see, when I logged into Flickr, that it has had over 99,000 views in less than 24 hours. Amazed, blown away, and humbled that’s many folk over the world took time to look at my art, and leave such complimentary comments, too.

Well, that was a great evening: nice friendly crowd, a warm, well lit room, grand cup of tea and a chocolate biscuit or two….thank you, Norwood Green Art Circle.Here’s my demonstration piece from last night (apologies for the blurry iPhone shot)…my first real demo after a good few weeks of being laid low by a nasty stomach bug. This is a church near Blubberhouses, painted from a photo I spotted online, so if it’s yours, thank you….
