Strange times….

Well….isn’t life a bit odd at the moment to say the least? The situation seems to escalate almost hourly with differing advice from all sides. Sadly, but understandably, I’ve had many demos and workshops cancelled, or at least postponed till later in the year, as art clubs and societies decide not to put their (often older) membership at any more risk than is sensible. I’ve also reluctantly decided to cancel the workshop scheduled for March 28 in Ilkley……if you’re booked on this and haven’t seen my email from earlier, just check and let me know which date you’d like to transfer your booking to.

Here’s hoping that we’ll be over this in a matter of weeks, and by the summer, back to some semblance of normality. One upside though is that I’ll have a lot more time than I’d planned, to do a lot of drawing and painting…it may well be that I’m ready for this year’s Staithes Festival well in advance -that’ll be a first!!! I’ll also be able to do a few more instructional Youtube clips…

So, on a brighter note, I had a trip to The Old School Gallery in Muker last week, with 5 new pieces … you can read all about it below, and more optimistically there is a school of thought that people may think a trip to the fresh air of the Yorkshire Dales is just the tonic!

This is one of the five new drawings-with-colour now safely in the Old School Gallery
