A quick post today…I just uploaded the second part of my Staithes drawing…this part features the addition of watercolour washes..you can watch it here.
A more detailed post will follow in a few days; in response to many comments and requests, I’m writing a recollection and thoughts on my experience on Watercolour Challenge, which is currently being broadcast on Channel 5 at 4pm here in the UK.
Hi John. I’ve really enjoyed watching the YouTube videos of Staithes and also watching your fabulous paintings on Watercolour Challenge. Looking forward to hearing all about your experience. Having just read the reasons for the cancellation of the Staithes Art Festival part of the problem seems to be the familiar one of a few people doing a lot of work but without young blood coming in to take over. I wonder if Scarborough would be an alternative venue? Maybe the council would be interested as it’s such a shame to see these things disappear especially with lockdowns increasing people’s creativity and interest in the arts. I just love your work and had the pleasure of watching a live demonstration at Rugby Arts Society, keep up your wonderful videos!
