Not long now….

Until the event of the year -for me anyway…the annual Staithes Festival of Arts and Heritage. It’s the weekend of 9/10 September 2017 (preview evening Friday 8 September) when the villagers of Staithes  open their cottage doors to the public as temporary galleries for a selling exhibition of work by resident and visiting artists. I will be in Broome Cottage, Mount Pleasant -which is venue 20: right at the top of the village -if you come from the car park along the Old Stubble path, it’s the first venue on the right  as the sea comes into view..and would be delighted to see as many of you as possible over the weekend!

and here’s a quick location map -it’s an update from the one I drew for the very first festival I was at back in 2013

More workshops

I’m delighted to announce I’ve been able to book the studios at Ilkley Art Studio for a series of workshops, following popular demand.

They are:

October Saturday 21, Sunday December 3 and Saturday February 17 next year!

Each one will be slightly different in content, again due to demand: here’s the flyer for the first one, which will follow the format of the successful sketch/painting event back in April: let’s hope the weather’s as kind!

I’ll publish fuller details of the others as we get nearer the dates…at least one will focus more on drawing and the challenges of perspective, but always in the context of line and wash.

Email or send me a message for full details.
