So you can imagine how delighted and honoured, nay, downright chuffed I was to be asked by the creator of a superb new blog if I would mind being the first feature on its launch day. I won’t rabbit on any longer…you can read it for yourself, and please take a moment to appreciate the lovely clean design of the site….
Mostly gallery- related news at the moment: if you read my Facebook page, you’ll know I had a little jaunt across the the lovely East Yorkshire Coast recently to deliver work to two galleries – The Woodend gallery in Scarborough, and Gallery Forty Nine in Bridlingtons’s old town.
Here are links to them both:
Gallery Forty Nine is owned by Liz Hillman – a lovely lady who has very graciously taken a whole pile of new original works, framed and just mounted, and told ne she intends to create a display in a room all to myself!!! Once they’re all hung I’ll let you all know and post photos, but to say I’m thrilled to be in the same space as original work by one of Bridlington’s most famous residents, and a personal hero of mine -David Hockney, would be an understatement..
In Scarborough, The Woodend Gallery is part of a superb period building, and run by the lovely Sheryl. There I left new original work, pus some prints and selection of new cards based on my new East Coast drawings and paintings.
