It’s June tomorrow…well, the day after

Half the year gone already, and much has happened: I’ve been asked to be involved in Helmsley’s  Yorkshire Day event this year, as an invited artist; I have had my illustrations featured on the brand new website for the Yorkshire Dialect Society , launching soon( I’ve seen the live preview and it’s very impressive); I’ve been approached to illustrate a children’s book by an American author, and I should have digital proofs of my feature in ” The Art of Urban Sketching.” any day now -the book is to be published in the autumn of this year.

I have also just delivered some work to a brand new gallery opening in early June in Bacup, Lancashire: Cloud 9 Gallery – very exciting!

I’ve completed numerous commissions for house and VW campervans portraits, plus a lovely church watercolour for a wedding gift…oh, and I nearly forgot the commission to create and supply 25 Yorkshire images for a major Yorkshire hotel’s bedroom refurbishment, with a second batch of 25 in October…….                                  all in all,  it’s been good so far this year, and with the Staithes Festival in September rapidly approaching, I’d better get my head down!

Here’s a sketch of Grassington, destined for one of my planned facsimile sketchbooks…but more of that in a new post….
