Cottages tumbling down to the sea -no, it’s not erosion, just how they’ve been for the last 100-odd years.

Here’s an updated version of my initial Robin Hoods Bay cottage sketch from Monday,Robin Hoods bay to the sea 2 shown with  my original sketch..working towards a more complete image, slightly different angle with a bit more detail and colour.

I’ll post the finished painting for comparisonRobin Hoods bay to the sea

Spring is nearly springing….

I can hardly believe it’s March already! It might seem as though not much has been going on, looking at the frequency with which I’ve been posting here, but that’s far from the truth…more of that later.

The big news as we enter the third month is that I’m featured on a lovely blog written by the amazing Gorgeous Cottages, who found me through Twitter (and I still don’t really know what I’m doing with the world of hashtags and RTs).

Here it is…have a look-see and take the opportunity to have a nosey round some of the fabulous cottages on the site..they all look superb of course – being in Yorkshire why wouldn’t they be?
